In today’s social media world, we are surrounded by fitness experts and influencers. Lack of information on healthy living is no longer a problem. Rather, the real problem is information overload. Searching for tips to become healthy in the ever pervasive internet is like looking for a needle in the haystack. One would find 100 articles that say keto is the best diet, and another 100 articles that explains why keto is the worst diet!
We also see fitness influencers with their six pack abs and protein shakes lifting weights in the gym, while yoga gurus do those crazy postures and making us often wonder - if the human body can be as flexible as those crazy pictures they post on instagram! The ardent marathon runners and cyclists flaunt their marathon and cycling pics, whereas another section of fitness influencers tell you not to run so much as it can cause muscle wastage!
Caught in between all these flurry of information, is the poor common man, who just wants to be healthy, fit and look good. In between their busy schedule building a career, they do not have time for any of those crazy diets or exercises! Infact the very idea of ‘diet’ itself is dreadful. People also lack the motivation for any sort of physical activity between their busy schedule! Taking care of health becomes more and more important as people hit their 30s or 40s. That said looking fit, trim & sexy will be a nice add-on too! Most of them also want to lose some fat - especially around the belly! And more importantly, once they achieve this goal, they have to sustain it and also continue being fit & healthy between their busy career and other schedules.

If Yes, you have picked up the right book! But let me tell you - I do not have any magic diets or solutions to the above mentioned predicaments. My promise however is that - this book will definitely give you a direction to think! It will give you an understanding of what questions to ask yourself and how to figure out their answers - because when it comes to improving health, what suits one person will not suit another. The concepts discussed in this book are from my own learning and experience. I have tried to be scientific in my approach, yet not become very verbose and technical. I have tried to explain some of the concepts with very simple and relatable day to day examples.
I take short-term tips for getting healthy or fit, with a pinch of salt! As mentioned, there are NO magic potions, NO magic diets and NO magic pills to becoming healthy! There is no single vegetable, fruit or shake that can make you healthy. And if you hear some health tips that are ‘too good to be true’, then remember - they are most probably not true!!
The most important thing in your health and fitness journey is to give it time and have patience. After all, all good things in life are simple; it only needs a bit of time and patience. Health & Fitness is not any different!!
